How to read your grayscale results
Each gray step should be distinct. If light steps disappear, your printer may be using too much ink or toner. If dark steps merge together, the driver or paper setting may be too dense.
A smooth gradient should not show harsh bands. Banding or streaks can indicate clogged nozzles, low toner, dirty rollers, or a worn imaging component.
